I would like to export an mp3 audio file directly to a folder that I specify without allowing the audio editor to add the album and artist folders. In addition it adds a couple of characters to the track name which I don't want. Can I remove these features?

Not sure if this will do for you but try this.
Go to Sound Editor,Tools,Options and when the box comes up hit Edit next to the file format.
When that box opens go to Filename/Folder Structure. There you have some choices as far as File naming.
"Do you wanna see me crawl across the floor to you?
Do you wanna hear me beg you to take me back?
I'd gladly do it because....."

Did you mean to say rip or import? As an alternative method to what tbrewst posted above, you may want to do the following below.

Open Creator Classic. Select Tools->Options. Click the 3rd tab (Copy Tracks from Audio CD). Browse to the folder where you want to save the audio file. Then Click the dropdown arrow under File Naming Structure. Choose the file naming you want in the dropdown box.
