emc7 cannot uninstall using add/remove

when I try to uninstall my EMC7 from my Dell desktop pc using add/remove, I get the following message.

"The install script engine on this machine is older than the version required to run this setup.If available please install the latest version of lsscript.msi, or contact your support personell for further assisstance"

can anyone help me to remove this program?

I have ordered Roxio Creator 2009 from Amazon.com. do you know if installing the RC2009 will automatically remove the EMC7? or will I have problems installing the newer Roxio Creator 2009 because something is missing from the older Roxio program?
