I just started using Roxio 10. I captured a movie from VHS tape then in VW I marked (created) 13 chapters. I saved the file and load it in MyDVD.
In the beginning display (by default) in MyDVD there was an option named as My Menu which linked to the Chapters area. The name of each area was also My Menu.
I renamed them: instead of My Menu I wrote Chapter for each area and Chapters in the beginning (Home) display but the link was broken (I do not know when It happened) and there is a "unlinked item" in the left side panel and below this "unlinked items" row you can see the chapters one below another.
Before, when the name was My Menu I could go from Home (beginning display) to every area where the chapters are and I could also go back to Home but now that I renamed as Chapter(s) (in the beginning display) I can not go to each area of chapters but I can go back Home.
When I renamed them in the left side panel then it allowed me to change the first character ( C ) but the next ones were strange symbols. I also renamed (My Menu to Chapter) in the preview area.
I hope it is not too confuse.
Can someone give me an advice how to reestablish the link or to avoid this problem in the future?
Thanks in advance for any help,
I cannot follow what you did from your description. Your renaming things is totally confusing.
You cannot create chapters on the Main Menu page - any items on this page are called Titles. To create chapters, you select a title on the Menu Page and then select "Edit Chapters". This will open The Edit Chapter window where you create your chapters automatically or manually.
If you create chapter markers in Videowave, they are not automatically converted to Chapters when the VW project file is added in myDVD. You have to switch to the timeline (in myDVDE), right click a chapter marker and click "convert to chapter" After converting all markers to chapter points you then have to select "Edit Chapters fro Tools. In the window that now opens you then select "Update Chapter Menu"
