When I tried to upgrade Toast 8 I got an error message saying I didn't have the sufficient privileges to do this. This has also removed my working version also. All tech support wants me to do is upgrade to 10 big help.
Thanks,
Brian

It often does not work to replace the earlier version with the new one directly. What I recommend is either renaming the earlier version's folder so that you end up with both the new one and old one in your Applications folder, or first dragging the older one to the trash before copying in the new one.
All you need to do is trash whatever Toast 8 folder is now in your Applications folder and then drag in the new one from the mounted disc image download.

I'm just a fellow Toast-user so please don't blame Roxio for any misguidance I may provide. And do let me know if your issue gets solved. Cheers from Eugene, Oregon!
