roxio express labeler 3

Hi Folks if i get mixed up it is because i am new here
my problem is last year i bought a hp c5280 printer which came with labeler 3 i like to print direct to dvd so i updated to sure thing everything was fine until i had to format my hard drive now it will not print straight to dvd i get an error meesage that the dvd tray is open i have checked all settings they ok i am now at a loss

It would really help if you were to tell us what software package/program you are talking about. What is "Labeler 3"?

That would be an OEM version of Roxio Express Labeler 3, and Roxio Express Labeler 3 is a variant of the Sure Thing Labeler.

Yorky, I'd suggest you get the disc which came with your printer, and uninstall then reinstall your OEM Express Labeler 3 to try to get it back the way it was before.

We are in some difficulty giving you any more specific advice for this version since there are so many variations out there, and  HP may also have altered it to make it work with their printers. You might be best trying to get help from HP, since they have undertaken to do the support for their OEM software.

AS Brendon suggested, get on the HP website. There they have a version of Roxio's Express Labeler that you can download for free. Or at least you used to be able to. I downloaded it some time ago and it worked with my HP printers.

Thanks for your help, I have now found the problem for some unknown on setup my hp printer had set itself as standardprinter instead of cd/dvd printer i just noticed it this morning
