Thanks.
I found Brendon's reply and was able to locate the Registry key with TempVector. However, I don't know how to change that to the file location suggested.
I also ran the repairer, which had no effect. Finally, I've uninstalled and reinstalled the program many times in the past and the problem has never been corrected.
Can you help?

We'd better start from the beginning then.
This forum has been renamed for the latest version of Easy CD & DVD Burning, but there have actually been three or four different software suites [depending how you count 'em] carrying that name.
There was the First version, which was a cut-down version of Easy CD & DVD Creator 6
Then there was the Second version, a cut-down version of Easy Media Creator 9 labeled Vista Compatible.
The Third Version was a cut-down subset of Easy Media Creator 10.
The Fourth version is an updated cut-down version of EMC 10 labeled Windows 7 compatible.
-which do you have?
A clue if you can run the Home application, go to Help > About this Software and tell us what Version and Build numbers are shown, please. [we don't need the serial]
I'm thinking your version will be one of the 9s, since they were the ones which threw the "trial version" error. The 10 versions just stopped dead when the registry was cleaned. If that's the case you'll need the version 9 repairer, which is different from the version 10 one.

If it isn't currently broken, run your registry cleaner a couple of times and break it. If it is currently broken, use the version 9 Repairer [click here] on it.
Unzip it and run it. Have your CDkey ready when asked for it.
The v9 Repairer should repair it and fix it in a way that it won't break in future.

If I understand you correctly, if the program is currently working, which it is, I first need to run a Registry Cleaner a few times, which will then make it stop working. When that happens, I can then run the Roxio repairer and fix it.
If this is correct, my first problem is that I don't know whether I have a Registry Cleaner on my computer. If it's there, I don't know where to find. I've looked on-line and there seem to be a number of programs I can download that will clean the Registry. The simplest is called "XP Registry Cleaner 2." Since I don't really know what I'm doing here but I do know that it's potentially dangerous to muck around with the Registry, I thought I should check with you to see if this software is okay for cleaning my Registry.
Thanks again.

I tidied your last post for you.
I understood that your program was giving you the "trial expired" error and you had not been able to fix it.
If it is working properly at the moment, perhaps it's best to leave it alone.
Download and save the version 9 Repairer, and if your program breaks at some time in the future you'll know what to do with it.

Brendon

Thanks, Brendon. This is the first time I've tried posting on this forum and I still don't have the hang of it. I think I hit reply too many times.
Anyway, I appreciate your suggestion and will try it.

I only mentioned it so you would not worry that I had interfered with your post.
Best wishes for continued operation.
