I have what I think should be a simple question:
Can I convert raw AVCHD source files to some kind of editable SD format such as DVCPRO using Toast 9 on a Powerbook G4 running 10.4.11 ?
Yes or no?
All help is much appreciated.

Yes. There is a present for converting to DV/DVCPRO or you can choose to convert to QuickTime Movie and choose custom where you can change the codec to DVCPRO50 or several other codecs.

I'm just a fellow Toast-user so please don't blame Roxio for any misguidance I may provide. And do let me know if your issue gets solved. Cheers from Eugene, Oregon!

Thanks, Tsantee.
And I'd love to hear from anyone else who is using this workflow - especially regarding conversion times...
(I know... upgrade....)
