Hi, I'm trying to burn a 3.54 gb mpeg2 to dvd (4.7gb capacity), but keeping getting an error message (after waiting about an hour for the movie to encode). Everything seems fine until it reaches the end of the process and I get an error message about (paraphrasing here) a problem burning the image due to insufficient space on the destination drive. However, before I hit the "burn" button, the program indicates adequate space on the disc under the setting "fit to disc." Same problem occurs when I try burning it under the setting "long play," which allows for additional space on the disc. I've never had a problem burning data, audio, or movie discs etc. before using the same software, drive, and discs etc. ...only difference this time is the size of the file. Can anyone suggest anything? Thanks!

Choose High Quality setting.

How long in time is the movie? If under 1 hour, choose 4.7gb for disc. If above that but under 2 hours, choose 8.5gb.

You may actually have a problem with available space on your hard drive.

How much free space is on your hard drive?

When was the last time you defragged it?
