Both my drives, Lite-ON and my TDK work fine, worked with Nero and I have uninstalled everything Nero related, but I still get the "Please insert a blank disc" message and my default recorder says "none"
Any ideas, read many many posts on this, can't find the answer.

Can't tell for sure without the information from you, but Version 6 is a 2003 software suite, and even with all the updates if your burners are made after 2004 then Version 6 won't recognize them. Your Nero is probably a lot newer than 2003.

Which information do you need?
On the box it reads p/n 217600cs REV A
My TDK burner is 2003 or older, this software worked on the TDK burner at least when I first purchased it. The Nero was a fre trial because I needed something for a short while.

I was after the full version and update number of your Roxio product, and the model number of your burner so I could check the tables. However if the software used to work with that burner we can skip all that.
I guess the Nero install may have either broken or taken over something to mess up your Creator. Try the 'clean install' procedure HERE and then reinstall and update your Roxio program.
