Hi, I have MyDVD 9 and have made a couple of DVD projects without any problems. I recently made a project that had a photo slideshow with music (it has about 350 photos), and the project also has three short videos. When I validate the project it shows that there are no problems. I tried burning the DVD (with the same type/brand DVDs I normally use) and when I tried watching the video once the slideshow got to the 99th slide it skipped to slide 298 and then continued to the end. I put the DVD on the computer to view the files and saw that all 366 photos were burned on the DVD. I tried burning the DVD two more times and I am still having the same problem. I tried emailing Roxio for technical support and they told me they couldn't help because I have an "older" version. Is there anyone that has any suggestions to fix this problem?? Thank you!

Did you use any of the Slideshow Wizards to create you slideshow? Many users have reported this type of problem when using the wizards. Do you have Videowave as part of your package? Then that is the program to use to create your slideshow. You then "add" the VW slideshow project into myDVD for creating menus and burning.

BTW, how did you dtermine that all your 366 slides were burned to the DVD slideshow? Also how long in time is your whole project including the video clips?

Hi,

No, I didn’t use a Slideshow Wizard. I clicked on "Add Slideshow" under the Menu Tasks on the left hand side of the page. I think that I am using Videowave because when I tried searching for a solution in the help section of the program I read the section about Videowave, and the graphic of how the Videowave window is set up looks just like mine. How can I be sure that I am creating a VW slideshow?

To check the DVD I played it with Windows Media Player. All of the files on the disc were listed on the right hand side of the page while the slideshow played. When it got to the 99th slide it jumped to 298. If I click on slide 100 it will play through to slide 199 without any problems, but after 199 then it skips to 298 again. Could I have too many slides in the slideshow? The total time of the project is about 35 minutes (27 minutes for slideshow, and another about 8 minutes total for the short videos). I don’t understand why this problem is happening. Thanks for any help.
