MyDVD 10 - DVD does not play the same as the preview before burning

MYDVD 10 - I choose the menu style, I add transitions and effects, I run the preview and everythinhg is fine - I Burn the project, on playback of the DVD i find that the menu backround is not present and that some of the effects and transitions are not there. Please someone help

Is your render mode set to hardware (under Tools/Options)? If yes try the software mode. Also what are your system specs, especially video card. What you are describing is most often video card related and comes about because the system is not capable of using the transitions and/or effects you have selected.

BTW, the normal process of creating a DVD is to use Videowave to assemble your video: photos,video clips, add transitions,effect,audio. Save the VW project to a project file (it will have the extensions dmsm). Then exit VW and launch myDVD and and select your menu style. Then using the Add task, add the dmsm project file. THen you finish your menu setup and burn.
