After a system crash and system reinstall to original factory settings, I tried to reinstall Roxio Creator 9.0 using the disc supplied with my original Dell bought two years  During the installation a message appears that says among other things that an installed driver causes stability problems with the system and well be disabled.  The reinstall proceeds as normal.  When trying to burn a DVD or CD the system crashes.  Please help.  Thanks

Thank you very much for your quick reply.  I am indebted to you.  I installed the patch and it went well following yours and mfg. instructions.  When I went to duplicate a cd it was rejected.  Saying "There was a problem writing to the disc.  You can try again by clicking the Retry button.  You will need another blank disc ready."  Well I tried several new discs; cd-r's and cd-rw's but to no avail.  The program worked beautifully before the reinstall to "original factory setting".  I'm sorry to bother you but any help you can give would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!!!

You will have to test to isolate it.

You have Vista – use a CD-RW and Explorer to copy & paste  some files to that disc.(you can erase it later) Be sure to pick something not music, like a jpg or 2.

What happens?

If it works OK then try the PXEngine:

PXEngine 4

or

PXEngine 3
