I have spent the last year, on & off, creating a slideshow from hundreds of pictures that my daughter took on her 5 week visit to Australia & New Zealand.  There are 4 menus, with audio tracks.  One of them has 5 tracks and was working well.  Then in a preview today it started missing a track out completely.  Now it is skipping the first two tracks and starting with the 3rd.  I am nearly finished this project and want to burn it to a DVD disc, but I need to solve this problem that is only happening on the one menu.  Can anyone help?

The first thing to try,  is to open Video Wave (I hope that is where you are working), go to the top menu and select tools> options> clear the proxy files.  See if the project will play now.  I don't have EMC 8 loaded on my computer but I think that option is available to you.

Perhaps it is also time to clean up the junk files on your computer to make more space and to defrag your hard drive.  Sometimes junk files and a fragmented hard drive will cause problems.  Do not use a registry cleaner.

Regardless of what I say about computer maintenance, there is no need to defrag a solid state hard drive.

I have been creating this project in 'My DVD' but I had the same option in there to clear the proxy files.  I have also tried cleaning up junk files, and a defrag, but it is still jumping the first two tracks and starting the slideshow with the third track.
