Can anyone put me out of my misery!  I've spent days trying to fix EMC 10 but it just fails to launch.  I get a runtime error R6025.  I've trawled the Internet and the all the support pages and read all the entries from others having similar problems but try as I might I simply can't get EMC10 to work.  It has done in the past but I haven't used it in several months and going back to it the other day to import some movie clips I started to get this problem.  I've uninstalled and re-installed the program all to no avail.  I've got Windows XP and DirectX 9.0c installed.  Surely there must be a fix for this!  At the moment the software is simply useless.

Thanks for the response but I'm not sure it helps.  I have upgraded to the latest version of Media Player (11) and have checked that I have DirectX9 installed.  I've tried a 'clean install' making sure I removed all signs of Roxio/Sonic from my hard drive but still can't get EMC10 to work.  I've even uninstalled again and re-installed a previous version of EMC (version 9) and I still get the same problem!  I seem to have been around the houses on this one trying out all the advice I've seen in posts etc but nothing works.  I'm almost tempted to completely reformat my PC and reinstall XP again but this takes soooo long it's a last resort.

Don't know if this will help you.  I was getting the same error yesterday when I tried running My DVD.  It would complain about Video Wave and give me a R6025 error then shut down.

I opened VideoWave and in the Tools - Options area set the render to Software from Hardware and I no longer get this error.
