I just want to say sorry if this has already been covered, I tried to search the forums and didn't see what i was looking for. OK, Now then. I purchased Roxio creator 2009. I tried using the plug and play feature from the menu and everything worked as it should ( I thought), but when i was done the DVD I burned will not load and will not show an error The disc does show evidence that it has something on it. I am using a SONY DCR-HC40 Handy Cam. I am using Vista. Everything is up to date. I am using DVD-R discs. Why won't they play? I don't see anything that suggests this is a difficult task. Please help me.
Thank you,
Ian

Since there is nothing called “plug and play” in any Roxio product, I will guess you meant Plug and Burn???
If so you should know that nobody who does video uses it because it is so high risk…
Will not play is a little too vague to be of any use. How about some details and error messages. Are you using a PC to try it? Have you tried a DVD Player?
I would also advice getting a disc or 2 of DVD RW media to learn on.

Yes Sir , Plug and burn. I did try the disc in a regular DVD player and it just doesn't load, therefor it won't playback. I watched the entire home movie as it burned onto the disc. At the end , I pushed finish it took a minute or two and said it was successful , but there was an error with creating the menu? The menu was just the title and a backround image of a theatre , since I was trying to copy a play I was in.
Thanks I will get some RW disc.
Why is it risky?

Because, if there is even one little hiccup, while capturing and burning, you have a coaster, and you have to begin the process all over again.
If you capture, to your hard drive, then burn to a DVD, even if you get a coaster, you won't have to spend the time capturing again.
