I have sonic recordnow version 7.3, my dvd drive was there in the Recordnow program now it is missing blink.gif I click check for drives and it does nothing sad.gif My drives are fine in mycomupter and elsewhere, it's missing in the Recordnow program only.
Any ideas how I can get it back. I have window's xp and did a fix by reinstalling the program or should I have just uninstalled & reinstalled?
Any ideas, I have none huh.gif I also did the px engine update and nothing changed mellow.gif
thanks!

Does the DVD drive show in MY Computer? If not you may have a loose connection between the drive cable and the motherboard. Shutdown the computer and open it up and push the cables into the sockets. Restart the computer. I have this problem occassionally. Sometimes I can just reboot the computer and it solves the problem.

Best,
Fred

Yes the dvd drive shows up in mycomputer. The dvd drive used to show up in recordnow, now it is missing, it only shows the cd drive.

Try doing the PX Engine update with the version 3 installer, HERE rather than the version 4 updater.

The installer fixes things that the updater doesn't.
P4 @3.20GHz on Albatron PX-865PE Pro II with 2GB DDR-SDRAM, FX5900XT video, Viewsonic monitors,
BENQ DW1640, in XP Pro and Windows 7

I blame it all on Global Warming / Global Cooling / Global Staying the Same [pick one]
