I am recording the DVD on a Sony RDR-VX530 off of HD Sony TV.. The computer used for playback is a Gateway GT 4016 with OS XP. The disc used are Memorex DVD+RW. I also record on Phillips DVD-R. The Disc all record ok and will play on other computers.
However the DVD+RW will not play on the gateway but the DVD-RW will.
When I place the +RW in the computer it is not recognized but no messages.
I have been told that DVD+RW’s have a lower reflectivity on their discs which can lead to playback issues.
This is why I bought the Roxio program hoping by what I read in the advertisement it would allow me to play the discs I have recorded on the Gateway GT 4016.

Is the DVD reader/burner on you computer able to handle +RW DVDs? What is the make/model of the burner?

You are also using bottom of the barrels Memorec RVD+RWs. Verbatims are much better quuality
