It appears that the first photo into the photoshow program ends up being the one that shows up when I e-mail to friends. I want a different photo where the click to WATCH my slide show, but can't find where to change it. When I move the photo to the front of the slide show, it still doesn't show up as the cover photo in the e-mail to friends. Can anyone help me?

What program/version are you using? Exactly what are the steps you are doing when you are updating the "cover" photo and how are you mailing the show?
Using PhotoShow 5, I just tried it for a simple slideshow by moving a photo from within the slideshow to the front and e-mailed it to myself and it shows up as the cover photo.

Thanks so much for responding. I am using Roxio version 6. I've tried moving the photo to the front of all images in ARRANGE. It shows up correctly in the lineup, but it isn't changing it to the one I want in the cover photo when I e-mail it. Like you, I always e-mail the show to myself first, so I can save it in a draft folder for later mailings to friends, but it drives me nuts that I can't select the photo I want as the cover photo.

You posted in the PhotoSHow Legacy forum which covers Photoshow 5 so I assumed thats what you are using.
I don't seem to be able to change the cover photo either in version 6

For some reason, I can't post the image I want to; perhaps it will allow me to do that later.
Under the arrange tab, select the image you want to make the cover photo and then click the box in the uppoer left.

Thanks Steve, I learned something new today.
I can't add an image either but only in the Photoshow Legacy board. I moved this topic to the Photoshow 6 forum (where it belongs anyway) and as you can see I can add an image here.
