For some reason Toast 8 will not burn my + R DVD's. Works OK with – R DVD's. Apple iDVD burns both. Also, is there a way to retain the intro theme I created with idvd? I use the image file created with iDVD but Toast bypasses the theme.

If you use the Image File setting to select the iDVD disc image file and don't change anything Toast will retain the menu even if you are compressing a DL disc image to a single-layer disc. I don't have any explanation for the problem with +R media. If the drive supports +R burning then it should be fine with Toast. I suggest trashing the Toast plist and prefs files in your User>Library>Preferences folder to see if that fixes the problem. I presume you've updated to the latest version of Toast 8.
I'm just a fellow Toast-user so please don't blame Roxio for any misguidance I may provide. And do let me know if your issue gets solved. Cheers from Eugene, Oregon!
