I just bought Creator 2009 a few days ago, so I'm not yet familiar with all of its inner workings. I have captured mpg files in DVD SQ format, and am trying to create DVDs from them. When I created my project on Vista, I told Roxio to create the iso file. The Burn Project screen comes up, but freezes immediately. Both progress bars stay on 0% for however long I leave them, and Windows says the program is not responding. The application window will then close, but the process keeps running, taking up half of my CPU. To end this, I have to reboot, as the process will not end. This same thing happens when I just tell Roxio to burn without saving an iso. I have tried this many times with multiple variations, to no effect. Once, i got an error that was something about a runtime access error, but I never got that again.
The weird thing is that when I copied the mpg over to an xp computer, and make the same project, it begins encoding without difficulty. I have installed the latest service pack. What do I need to do to get this working??????
Help!!!!!

Try updating (or uninstall/reboot/reinstall if current) the drivers for your video card/chip.

I tried to update the video card driver, but the Intel site says service is not available. I'll try again later. When I try to update it with device manager, it says the driver is already up-to-date. In the meantime, I'll try disabling startup programs like the article says.

Don't update from Intel.
Update from your computer manufacturer or from the Video Card manufacturer.

I was trying to update from intel because that's what DirectX said the display manufacturer was. If I go to the emachines site, there are no updated drivers to download; they all say 'original driver'.

I have disabled all startup programs in msconfig, and it still doesn't work. As I am unable to find any updates, I don't know what to do now. Any ideas?
