I just installed Media Creator 2009 without any problems.  It was an upgrade from Easy Media Creator v9 Basic (HP OEM copy).  I thought it would have removed the old version for me, but apparently not.  So now I have v9 and 2009 installed on my computer.  Any pitfalls I should know about before I try and uninstall v9?  Thanks.

I've got one computer with v9, 10 and 2009 on it running well. But, since the OEM version does basically nothing, I'd remove it.  Just use the control panel to remove it and leave whatever is left alone just in case of shared folders.

Correct. When you install Creator 2009 won't install any previous versions. It's recommend that you uninstall the previous version first then do the installation of Creator 2009.

You should be able to run both versions although the OEM version is basically junk. I have both EMC 9 and Creator 2009 on the same PC.

Well, I uninstalled 9 and something's broken. Now, when I run copy and convert and select the drop-down menu to browse for a disc image, it crashes. Windows gives me the standard "Roxio VideoConvert has stopped working" and I get the following event log:

Event ID: 1000
Faulting application VideoConvert11.exe, version 11.1.0.14, time stamp 0x49416191, faulting module ntdll.dll, version 6.0.6002.18005, time stamp 0x49e03821, exception code 0xc0000005, fault offset 0x00066fcf, process id 0x1614, application start time 0x01ca0fec2e403cf7.

I tried uninstalling 2009, reinstalling, and re-applying sp4, to no avail. Any ideas? Running 32-bit Vista Home Premium, SP2.
