You may have initially posted in the wrong forum. I don't believe that there is a Creator 2009 DE. It is probably Creator 9 Dell Edition that came with your computer. Support for that product comes from Dell. Go to that site and see if there is something you you to download. The following is an attempt to answer your statement (question?). You will not have all the applications of the full versions but you will be using DVD Builder (MyDVD).
In the meantime, you can read this or read this. The second one if for Creator 2009 but the basic process is the same.
There are no short cuts; if you just copy the files to a disc, all you are doing is making a data disc. That only works with DivX file if you have a DVD player that plays DivX format.
