Can't burn old ISO's with new Creator 2009

The ISOs burn perfectly in older version of Creator we have on other computers. I sure hope Roxio can fix this "feature" they put in the new version. Or has someone figured out a workaround?
Some of my ISOs were bootable, some were not, if that matters also.
I'd hate to switch to a competitor after using Roxio for some many years at different jobs.
I contacted support, and all they've said so far is the following paragraph. I don't remember seeing a disclaimer before I paid for this saying "anything you did in previous versions might not work in the new latest and greatest version".
Thank you for contacting Roxio Technical Support
Unfortunately you will need to recreate the project within the software you wish to burn. You will not be able to burn the projects created within the prior versions.

Actually, from what I've tested in a couple previous versions, not all .ISO files were created "equal". I didn't test with Creator 2009, but in a couple earlier versions, some .ISO files created with one version would open okay with Disc Image Loader, some would load okay using the Daemon Tools, some would work with both, some would only work with one or the other.
So, how about this, if you can load an image that won't burn into Disc Image Creator, can you then use Creator 2009 to create a new .ISO from that loaded image? And will that burn okay in Creator 2009?
I know, a long way around, but I'm looking for a workaround for you at this point, and I don't think I have anything to test with like you do, and the information learned may be useful for others too.
If you can try that out, let us know what happens.

Hi Dave. I was thinking the same as you, so I had already loaded one of the ISO's in question into the piece of Roxio software that mounts an ISO, which worked, but when I do a create image from disk, it doesn't let me pick that virtual drive letter. I would hope that would work, and maybe I just missed a step that someone can fill me in on. I also replied to my support incident asking them. I'll post whatever I can find.

Edit: Ok, I just read your first post and you already mentioned copying files from virtual drive to hard drive. Does it allow you to burn using the copied files in the hard drive?

I haven't tried just burning the files that way, but it appears like it will. Only problem is that some of these CDs are bootable, so i think they lose their bootable-ness by doing it that way.

It didn't give an error message that made any sense, but when you click on the "explain" button, it reads something like "CD's created with packet-writing software such as Roxio Drag-to-Disc .... cannot be copied using the Copy Disc project".

That's an interesting message. How were the original .ISO files created? I know I've used Creator 2009 to write .ISO files to disc.
Next question, what part of Creator 2009 are you using? I always go in and manually start Creator Classic (Start -> Programs -> Roxio Creator 2009 -> Applications -> Creator Classic) and then select Create disc from disc image (or some such paraphrased selection). If you're going through the "Home" application, maybe there's an issue there?

Still have no idea why it gave the error message it did about the problem being with the ISO files though. Definitely a strange one. Maybe Roxio can use this experience to update their help/explain system.
Thanks for all the help guys.

Actually I think this bug happen since version 10 but it has never been fix. If I remember correctly, it works if you save it as .gi format (ie .iso format those not work).

You would be mistaken. ISO is ISO and it burns them all, versions have nothing to do with it…
If you read the whole thread you would have noticed that rio98 did resolve it, it was his Burner…
There are some 3rd party ISO files floating around that Roxio won’t burn. It is usually due to them being non-standard.
The .gi format is OK but strictly Sonic and not universally accepted.
