Hi...I'm thinking of buying Toast 9 so I can burn a film I made in Final Cut Express, saved as a Quicktime movie. Someone told me that they thought Toast 9 required that you have Photo Shop in your Mac in order to make a DVD menu for a movie using Toast 9. Is this true? I have IDVD6 but would like better quality than what I'm getting. You can make a movie menu in IDVD6 with no problem without Photo Shop so I'm just wondering. Thanks...I'm new to the forum and would be new to Toast.

There is no need for Photoshop to use Toast. The person probably was referring to the fact that Toast's menus are designed using Photoshop layers. But all of that is behind the scenes and is of no concern to Toast users.
I'm just a fellow Toast-user so please don't blame Roxio for any misguidance I may provide. And do let me know if your issue gets solved. Cheers from Eugene, Oregon!

Thank you...I couldn't see any reason that this was true since a simple program like IDVD6 makes menus fine but I thought I should ask just the same before purchasing. I really appreciate the answer to what is probably a no-brainer question to most but I checked previous posts & didn't see an answer that made me comfortable.

Cheers...
