I have taken a photo and make it into a B/W and cropped it in an oval, I want the edges to fade to black. Similarily, I have many other photos that I would like to fade to alternate colors, how do I do this?

Thank you,
Kim

This might get what you want, I am assuming you are using PhotoSuite. I am using Creator 2009 but hope that EMC 9 works similar

From the File menu:
select New/New Canvas and then select the size, orientation and color for the canvas.
next select Photo, then Open/Create then Insert Photos or Cutouts and then navigate to the photo you want to use. The selected photo should then be "overlaid" over the previously created canvas. Select the photo and then apply the effects such as B&W, cropping and edge fading. This should basically get you started and you will have to experiment with the different effects until you get what you want
I've attached 2 pics using this procedure
