Can anyone please help explain/resolve my burning question!  I've used Roxio to burn audio CD's successfully prior to getting a new pc.  Now, whenever I burn a project (usually mp3 download tracks) I get gaps of about 5 seconds between tracks; even though the project screen shows 2 seconds for the first track and 0 for all others.  Is there someway I can make the playback as seamless as possible?  Many thanks for any response.

The first thing that comes to mind is that the gaps are part of the original downloads.  Open Edit Audio (Sound Editor and see if they are there when you add a music file. If they are there, you can delete the lead in and lead out silence.   If they are not, make sure you burn DAO (disc at once) rather than track at once.

You can also use Create Audio Projects and adjust the tracks to fade in/out and to overlap.
