No problems using wmv files in C2009 or any previous version.

Where did these wmv files come from? Exactly what are you doing? What is happening, any error messages?

What file format are you talking about?  Are you talking about a video file (with extension wmv) or a audio file (may have extension wma)? Obviously you cannot add a wma file as a video file but only as a audio file unsure.gif

1) Load it in the free "Up For Down" file sharing site.  Post the link and we can download it.

2) Download and drag the file into Gspot codec information appliance.  It will tell you what the format is, what audio codec and if you have the right codecs installed on your computer.  If Gspot won't take it, your downloaded file is bad.

Regardless of what I say about computer maintenance, there is no need to defrag a solid state hard drive.

I read faster then my brain could interpret .... blink.gif

Can you load it into Windows Movie Maker and perhaps output to a "new" format?
There must be something peculiar about that file.
