Every time I put a DVD-RW to erase it, it gets kicked out, stating that it is scratched or damaged.
These are new dvd's, not damaged nor scratched, and have only been written on no more that twice.
Has anyone else had this problem. I have had no success from support.

What are your system specifications and CD/DVD drive model?
Have you updated the firmware of your CD/DVD drive?
Also, what media manufacturer are you using?

Dave I cannot update the software. It tells me I do not have the correct serial number even though I took it from the program. Support will not answere me on this subject.
My system is a new sony laptop w/blue-ray burner. Of course its is Vista OS.
I am using Memorex DVD-RW erasing them is the only problem. All dvd's burn good, no problem. I have contacted support about this also twice, and still no answer from them. I am about to remove
Roxio from my computer. The support leaves something to be desired.
I will try another brand of DVD-RW, and see if that makes a difference.

Memorex are considered by many as bottom of the barrel - try some quality DVDs such as Verbatims

It is your Drive or the Disc.
The software only reports the error that Vista is reporting to it!
Actually you have to look under the barrel to find Memorex
