. This is the well known upper and lower filter issue.Probably a Windows problem.

Try disabling D2D in the start up menu (Windows>Start>Run, type in msconfig) reboot, acknowledge that you made the change. See if Windows can see the drives now.
For best performance and your sanity, don't use D2D except for for very short term storage or transfer of files. If you ever update to EMC 9.1, you will lose the D2D application and perhaps the ability to recover those files. Use Creator Classic to make your discs via packet writing so you can add files until the disc is full (then close it).

Regardless of what I say about computer maintenance, there is no need to defrag a solid state hard drive.
