It's been a a few months since I've used the crossfade feature so I don't know what may have triggered this issue but...

When I open the Crossfade and then "Custom" window, there is no audio when I click on the any of the three triangles that allow you to preview the crossfade or the individual tracks.  What happens is this - I click on the crossfade triangle and there is silence and no line indicating the track is playing.  I click on it again to "pause" and then click on it a third time to try and play it.  The third time I get an error message - "Couldn't complete the last command becasue of a Mac OS Error.  Result Code = -50."  I then get the same error message if I click on the other two triangles.  I doesn't seem to matter which of the triangles I start with, the same thing happens.  The track will play in the regular Toast window.

I have used this feature many times in the past (exclusively to eliminate the gap between tracks that should run together) and have not had this problem before.

Any thoughts?

George

I suggest trashing the Toast plist and prefs files in your User>Library>Preferences folder to see if that corrects the issue.
I'm just a fellow Toast-user so please don't blame Roxio for any misguidance I may provide. And do let me know if your issue gets solved. Cheers from Eugene, Oregon!

No plists there.  Just something called "Roxio Toast Prefs."  I deleted this, reopened Toast and the same results.

The plist file name is "com.roxio.Toast.plist". It needs to be there or in the root library preferences.

Found it.  Deleted it.  Toast opened as if it were the first time, but still having the problem in the Crossfade window.
