Hi Everyone,

I just installed EMC 8 Deluxe and I must say I'm very dissapointed on how difficult it is to make an audio cd. In version 7.5, you had the ability to merge tracks and cross fade. You could preview the effects much easier.

What the Hell happened to this product.

I guess I'm going to have to re-install 7.5 again

This is a users forum, and we are not Roxio tech support. What program did you use to create the music CD?

You can have both 7.5 and 8 installed on your system at the same time with no problems. Make sure Drag to Disc is only installed in one version.

One of my recommendations is to forget a lot of what you did in V7/7.5. V8 is (in the words of Monty Python) "and now something completely different" You are using Music Disc Creator aren't you?

In short, add the music, select all, then select the type of fade in/out you want by clicking on the fade in and fade out icon. Now select the type of transition - overlap or not. The trick here is once you select the overlap, the numbers on the right are the amounts of overlap - in other words, if you select 10, there is a ten second overlap (remember this ties in with the type of transition. Click on the little speaker to hear the fade in/out and transition. See the image below. I actually think this is much easier than before but different.
