I am running Vista SP2 and Creator 2009 Special Edition SP4. Media Manager has never run. I just get an empty window and Task Manager shows that MM is using the CPU, but it never does anything. Thrn after a while (>1 hour), the program hangs. I searched the threads and can't find anything abouot this.

Please help. I am able to use other modules, just not MM.

Do you want it to work???

If a program isn’t working in 2009 you have to do a Clean Install – see the pinned post at the top.

Or just don’t use it – I never have and don’t see any need to use it in my future…

Well, I am happy so far with Media Monkey and Windows Photo Gallery. Do I need the Media Manager to work? No, but after paying for the program, I would at least like to see what it can and won't do to make up my mind which program that I prefer.

I followed the instructions on the Clean install page and when Roxio finished installing, there was nothing. No program evident in Start Menu even. I should add that since my AV and firewall were disabled, I was not connected to the internet at the time of install. Does that make a difference?

I have since re-enabled everything with msconfig and I still can't find anything. I run Trend Micro for security, is there a trick to get the program to install properly?

Best bet in that case is to call Tech Support on Moday and work it through over the phone.
