Wondering if there is a work around for using my Easy CD creator 5 platinum edition with Win XP with all the xp updates. When I try to download I get an incompatability issue.

I am assuming you mean install the program.
You must have missed this at the top of the ECDC 5 forum http://forums.support.roxio.com/index.php?showtopic=32401
