I have installed disk 1 with no problems, but when I put disk 2 into the drive I get a pop up window that says
WINDOWS XP SETUP - GO TO THE CONTROL PANEL TO INSTALL AND CONFIGURE SYSTEM COMPONETS - please advise on what to do

Did you install the Program file first and then rebooted?  Then installed the Content file?

That was the procedure for Easy media Creator 9, but that changed.  Are you sure that you have Roxio Creator 2009?

You rarely come back and answer questions that have been asked of you, or let folks know if the suggestions offered, work for you!

Your problem is not with any software, and it is doubtful that you have Creator 2009.  blink.gif

The second disc is labeled as what?

If Creator 2009, is it the Ultimate version?

If I remember correctly, disc 2 has little to do with the program and proper operation.  Disc 2 contains the add on- such as Sound Soap, SmartSound SonicForePro, the computer Back-up program and the blu-ray plug in.  The program does not prompt you to insert the second disc.

Take a look at how many menus you have in "Create DVD Advanced"  Don't select AVCHD or blu-ray if you have a bunch, then the installation of the program and content was successful.

The programs are separate from the program and are optional.  Sound Soap is great if you do a lot of audio work;  the back up program is OK, blu-ray if you are going to do that.  SonicFirePro is fantastic if you want to make your own audio specifically for the mood in a slide show or video presentation.  It is fantastic but you may end up doubling or more your production time since you end up playing with that program.
Regardless of what I say about computer maintenance, there is no need to defrag a solid state hard drive.

The program seams to be working Ok amd it has all the items in the list that you posted, I was able to load from the Disk # 2 BIAS SOUND SOAP, but was unable to load SONICFIRE PRO - it keeps coming up with a message that says -  you need to load a full version of QUICKTIME ? confused any thoughts on this problem

I don't remember that Quicktime was a prerequisite for SonicFirePro.  Since I have Quicktime (free versions) on my computer, maybe it didn't ask for it.  Do you have Quicktime on your Computer?  Again the free version.

Quicktime is/was needed for the EMC and Creator 2009 to handle certain video formats.  SonicFirePro also needs it to handle mov formats .
