I'm receiving the following error when trying to use the Capture Video option.  This error appears shortly after I click "Capture Video".  I have done a clean install and at least 10 other things that email support from Roxio has recommended.  Nothing has worked.  Any help or suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated.  Here is the error:

Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library (in header)

Runtime Error!

Program: …2009 Special Edition\Media Import 11\MediaCapture11.exe

This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an
unusual way.
Please contact the application’s support team for more information.
I Never Came Back To Let Folks Know That Their Suggestions Worked.

I Do Not Deserve Any Help From The Forums.

From what source are you trying to capture? Camcorder, VHS recorder, DVD etc....? How are you connected to the source? What capture device are you using? We can't look over your shoulder so please give as much detail as possible. Your computer specs especially video card would also be helpful.

Funny thing is that I'm not given the choice to capture anything.  This error occurs when I click "Capture Video" from the main screen.  I'm not even given the chance to pick WHERE I am capturing it from.  The error happens almost immediately just clicking the option from the Creator 2009 main menu.  This is why I didn't include that information in the post.

I'm trying to capture from a DVD (which has worked before and stopped working on July 15th).  I restored back to that date and it still won't work.  Here are the specs:

HP Pavillion dv9627cl
AMD Turion 64 X2 TL-58 1.90 GHz
4.00 GB RAM
32-bit Operating System
Windows Vista
NVIDIA GeForce 7150M / nForce 630M

Thank you

Therein lies your problem.  You don't capture from a DVD.  You copy the folders, from the DVD, to a folder on your hard drive.  You can then bring the .vob files into VideoWave (Edit Video-Advanced) for editing.

I've done it that way before and it's always worked until the 15th of July.  Also, the error I mentioned is coming up as soon as I click Capture Video, before I have a chance to even select the source.  This never happened before...any suggestions?

Looks like you need to do a clean install, following ALL steps in the following link:
