Using Roxio Creator 2009 "Create Slideshow" feature.  While adding photos or audio track, program shuts down with message:  "Roxio Wizard Launcher has stopped working.  Windows is closing the program."  The program crashes.  I have tried four solutions suggested by both Roxio and Costco (including exchanging both the software and the new computer).  Help!!

First of all, don't use the Wizards to create slideshows. They are dumbed down programs with few options and little flexibility. THey can be used for the most simple slideshows. The program to use from Creator 2009 is Videowave to assemble you slideshow including adding transitions, effects, audio, etc. Save the VW slideshow project as a dmsm file, then exit VW. Launch myDVD and add the dmsm project using the "Add ..." task. Then create your menu and burn

You have not told us what solutions you have tried. It would also be helpful if you were to list your system specs.

ROXIO SUPPORT HAD ME DOWNLOAD A MS PATCH, AND PERFORM A CLEAN INSTALL.  I WAS USING A BRAND NEW 64 BIT HP COMPUTER WITH THE VISTA OPERATING SYSTEM PURCHASED FROM COSTCO.  COSTCO SUPPORT SUGGESTED THAT I RETURN THE ROXIO SOFTWARE AND TRY A NEW INSTALL.  I DECIDED TO SWITCH TO NERO 9, BUT COULD NOT INSTALL THAT PROGRAM AT ALL.  COSTCO TOLD ME THE PROBLEM WAS WITH THE 64 BIT COMPUTER. I RETURNED IT FOR A 32 BIT COMPAQ AND REPURHASED ROXIO.  SAME PROBLEM.  I WILL TRY USING VIDEOWAVE.  I AM A SENIOR AND MARGINALLY COMPUTER LITERATE! I FOUND NAVIGATING THROUGH THE SLIDESHOW QUITE SIMPLE, BUT ALAS FRUSTRATING WHEN HOURS OF WORK CRASHED!  THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR ASSISTANCE.

Sounds like there might be a conflict with some other program on your system.  I have Creator 2009 installed on Windows 7 x64 which is not even supported and it works.  Many others have had no problems with Vista 64 either.
What other programs came with your HP?
