Hello:

I have 100's of Files of my 8 month old boy, and I have read the post Simple Question from Rookie, How to make 5 slideshow movies Play All? on How to Play Slide Shows one after another, by doing and I have try it on MyDVD but it will take me a long time to righ-click on each File/Title/Movie and change the settings to Play Movie 2 after Movie 1, Play Movie 3 after Movie 2, etc.

Is there a simpler way to Put all my Files into a DVD and for them to be play one after the other like a regular DVD, not like what is happening now, that after each Movie, it goes to the Main Menu and you have to click the next Movie.

Thanks for your ideas,

Marcos

Congratulations on having a great bundle of joy in your household.  I'm sure you will be a fine and proud father.

If you set that up correctly, you should not be going back to the menu each time.  Read the instructions again.  The OP for that thread was able to do that.

But perhaps a suggestion for a better way.  Consider the audience; you may want to show people certain things about the baby's life without having to fast forward.  It does take some planning and a little more time.

Depends how you want to break up those hundreds of files.  First think of a theme.  for example "Baby's first month"  Open Edit Video Advanced (Video Wave).  Add the videos you want in the order you want.  You might want to consider titles pages, transitions, music, etc.  Save that as a production.  Think of another theme  (Baby's Firsts -or other??)  and repeat as needed to get all those great  accomplishments into video productions.  Remember that you are just creating shortcuts to the files on your computer so any editing you want to do will not change the original video unless you deliberately overwrite the files.  That means also that you can use the same video file in more than one production.

Now close that and open Create DVD advanced and add those productions as the movies.  You could make a menu that contains three to four movie titles.  Save the videos and the productions and you can make more DVDs a the baby grows up.

Hint, put all the video files and music and images and production files into one large folder on your computer.  That will help if you later want to do some changing, editing or updating.

Using that method will not play all the videos at once but will allow you to show friends and relatives specific highlights of the baby without having to fast forward.  You can then use the method you tried to use to  make a "play all" button so you can play all or play individual baby's accomplishment productions.

Watch these videos from karri and from me.  In karri's videos, you will be adding those video files rather than images.  They should get you started.

Remember the more time you spend planning what you want to do will result in a better experience for those relatives AND for baby when he grows up.   wink.gif
