Hi All:
I have created a number of dsdm productions and would like to create video to play on my HDTV. What are the best settings for doing this? The dsdm productions were created from digital photos and added music scores. I would like the apsect ratio to be 16:9. I have created videos using different formats and played them on the HDTV but the aspect ratio(s) don't seem to be right and the video quality is not too great. All the photos were tham with my 6 meg camera and the average size of each picture is about 2.5 meg. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Harold
BTW, I am displaying them on my HTPC running Windows 7 using Media Center on my Westinghouse 37" HD monitor.

Not going to work…
I suspect you mean “dmsd” or MyDVD Projects. To date MyDVD does not allow you ‘recycle’ projects from one format into another. We have been asking for it, so maybe we will see it in the next version…
Another misconception is that MyDVD can have any effect on aspect ratios…
Aspect ratio is fixed by the source! The only thing selecting 4:3 or 16:9 in MyDVD does, is change the menu…
There is no magic way to handle this and you might as well face reality now! To really mess things up, there are more and more different standards out there than just those 2!!!
It seems like when you can’t produce hardware to fit the standards, you makeup your own…
My “personal solution” is make everything in Widescreen and discard the 4:3 altogether. For “non-standard” pictures (I have 4 still cameras and they are different) – too bad! There are going to be some black borders on the sides of some, deal with it!
And the final thorn in our side? Some TV’s and some Players can be set to override the source and in spite of your best efforts, it won’t look right on those
