I have a video I want to import into Roxio VideoWare 10.  I was told to specify 48Khz for the audio sampling rate (not 44.1).  How do I check/change this?  Thanks.

It makes no difference when you add the file, it is set when you output it.

I imported it into Roxio and then did an output with the audio at 48 k and it still was sped up.

Any other thoughts?  Step by step how to resolve this?

Sampling rate does not change the speed of the recording!

Actually, it depends on how the software handles it.  If you capture something at 44.1Ksps, and then tell it to play it back at 48Ksps, and it doesn't do the conversion, it will come out sped up by 10%.

How are you "importing" your video?  Are you capturing through an analog device?  If so, what device?  Or are you importing from a file/from a DVD?
