newly installed Creator 9--program hangs/freezes when attempting to create project list in classic creator, while attempting to copy modest number of files to a data disk from Paperport 10 folders.  Program reaches same point in every attempt to creat project list and then hangs on subfolder containing 75 +/- .pdf scanned files.

having unintalled and reinstalled program repeatedly.  have sent information about system repeatedly to roxio using msinfo32, with no satisfactory replies from Roxio.

Have you installed service pack 4 for Creator 2009?
Creator 2009 sp4

Tell us about your PC system specifications. Which OS are you running?

Do you receive any error messages?  What is a .pdf "scanned" file?

Dave, I'm  not sure if by 'Creator 9' that unhappy attorney means Creator 2009.  If so, that update is not applicable.  He will need to be more specific to be sure.  He may  have posted that here without knowing exactly where to post.

Paul,

Newly installed shouldn't be a 2+ year old program, but maybe.  This is under the Creator 2009 topic.

Are you trying to add the entire folder or one .pdf file at a time? Perhaps some specifics on the steps you are taking would help.

It is simple – it is most likely broken and will require a Clean Install or there is something wrong with what you are trying to feed it???

Easy enough to test:

Home app – Data – Copy  tab – Create – Burn Data Disc
Data___Copy.jpg

Use Explorer to drag the folder & files into the window.

If they take – Creator Classic is broke – Clean Install Vista

If they fail… well let us know the error message  sad.gif

here is an update

first, after several "clean" installs, including sending file into to Roxio, I have been able to drop and drag to create a data dvd, using Roxio Creator 2009

However, after each install, Classic Creator remains completely useless and freezes/hangs when I attempt to use that Application

Consider – everyone else can do this but your PC… It also seems most unlikely that only your disc would contain one program that doesn’t work yet still allow the Suite to run…

I did give you the wrong link, I thought you had Vista and you did say you have – XP

You have been pounding on this for some time! Let's explore some other ideas…

Do you have another PC you could install it on?

Do you have someone who could do the Clean Install for you? (sometimes it helps for someone else to do something)

If you have an Install Disc, try copying all of the contents to your HDD first, and running the install from there.
