Several ways, but easiest maybe to use VideoCopy and Convert.  Choose the convert Button. Add the files, choose the output format and folder, press Convert.

I'm not sure if this is by design or a bug. But compilation only works when creating a DVD spec i.e. Video_TS. I suggest using Videowave. Add the desired files in order and output it to any desired format.

Mpeg2 = DVD quality. Depending on your source files, you could choose mpeg2 or AVC smile.gif

they are various sources from DLoads. DVD quality should be ok though for the kids. Maybe will have to look at HD when got more time. As far as you know they should play ok on ps3 though as mpeg?

really appreciate the help here. fingers crossed

Are the .VOB files part of "Video_TS" or individuals?

now i really desperately need some help here.

got roxio converting files ok apart from the vts ones.

went to plud drive into ps3 and it no longer sees the drive as we had to reformat it to NTSS (i think it was) to get files over 4gb onto it as when it was a fat 32 it kept blocking these files. I assume this is an issue with the format for the ps3.

How do i get files over 4gb onto the hard drive so that the ps3 will still read the drive?

If you cant help can you make any suggestions where i should look as i am fast running out of time here.

I really appreciate your time here by the way, i am sure you have better things to do than help a newby!

Sorry something came up and could not followup.. Well it seems you have got conversion done. Unfortunately, there is this PS3 limitation of not able to use any non-Fat32 HD. There are several discussions on this. I donot have access to a PS3 to be able to guide you more appropriately. But a google search should give you some basics..

vts_01_0 / vts_01_1 (.VOB) etc are also mpeg2 files. However, renaming is not recommended. If you have the content on DVD in a Video_TS folder, you can capture all the .VOB files using Roxio Media Import. The resultant file will be mpeg2
