Unless I'm missing something, Media Creator 2009 doesn't seem to have the ability to batch convert multiple unencrypted DVDs (TS_VIDEO) to AVI, WMV, etc. I'm looking around and it seems Popcorn has this ability, but it's just for the Mac (I'm running Windows). Am I missing something? Thanks.

Video compilation under "Copy and Convert DVD Video" should pretty much help you achieve this ability. Give it a shot.

No, that only lets you do one at a time. It has this feature to compile multiple input files into one output file, but that's not what I'm looking for.

Actually one of the posters intent was to input multiple file and output as a single file using VCC. But apparently, that only works when doing a DVD spec. So in this case, it will convert multiple files to multiple file single format output.

Awrightus: I understand the batch part, but would you care describe what your final destination is???

We might know of a way or of something else to do it.

I'm still not entirely sure what file format I want the final destination to be in, but something like a WMV, Xvid AVI, H.264 MP4, etc. I'd like to be able to specificy multiple source VIDEO_TS folders (unencrypted) and have each of them output to their own file (video1.wmv, video2.wmv, video3.wmv, etc). Make sense? Thanks.

I don’t see anyway in 2009 to do that as long as you specify ‘Batch’ biggrin.gif

I had high hopes for Drag & Drop Convert, but they were quickly dashed! sad.gif

Maybe someone will recommend a 3rd party product to this end.

Yeah, I tried drag 'n drop as well and got the same error. There are a lot of third party products out there, but I was just hoping I could do it with Roxio since I like using it for so many other things. Perhaps someone from Roxio will read this and put that in a future release.

I don’t have any need but I think a lot of people these days do and more are coming. Doesn’t seem like it would be that hard to add…

Just noticed that Creator 2010 is now out. Any chance 2010 can do what I'm looking for? Anybody?

Actually… Yes! Well mostly…

They dropped SyncIt! from the package but improved (?) Video Copy & Convert…

I used Explorer to drag and drop files into the Source area. I picked iPod for the output but there are many others:

A check in the destination folder shows all of the files converted to another format…

You can also Schedule the date and time for this to occur so you can set it up in advance and walk away.

Oh, I forgot it for my pics, but I did drop a VIDEO_TS folder into it and that works too… Of course it cannot be a commercial DVD but you knew that biggrin.gif

However, it will convert multiple files to multiple file, "Single' format output and not "Mulitple" format output.

Please clarify. I want to take individual ts_video folders (in batch) and convert each to their own *.mp4, *.wmv, *.avi, etc. Are we on the same page? Thanks.

Maybe... it does that, as I indicated.

But you can convert to ONE destination format at a time.

If you wanted to do another format, you would have to run it again.
