I'm using Roxio to transfer from VHS to DVD.  During the editing process, whenever I try to split a clip and get rid of a section that I don't want, sometimes it says "cannot split because section is too small".  I'm concerned on whether i'm doing it right.  Could someone please explain the split process to me?

I don’t do MAC but that Split message is normally the result of one of 2 simple mistakes.

There is a minimum number of frames you can split (11?) Since it can only occur at the beginning or end of a clip, the alternative is use Trim when you encounter that one.

More common is not having the clip you want to Split selected…
