I'm a rookie and by trial and error have gotten a DVD edited and burned. I can't figure out how to do any more than just an opening menu. How do you get a chapter menu, or at least where the heck can I look it up. I looked in the "user guide" and help topics. Thanks

Select the title movie on the main menu page and then select "Edit Chapters". You can then set up chapters manually or have the program setup chapters automatically by scene selection of fixed time.

Thanks for the reply, but I created the chapters, what I can't figure out is how to do is to create a menu which lists the chapters. I can create the opening menu for the entire project. I can play the DVD and advance to the next chapter, but I can't create a menu which shows all the chapters and lets me click individual chapters.

If you did it correctly, the one title button, when clicked, shoud go to the chapter menu. Remember that at the end of the capture, the movie continues to the end. It does not go back to the chapter menu.

Try it the way Walt suggested!

Then you will see how it happens. In fact you have to make an effort NOT to have the chapter menus. laugh.gif

In "Edit menu", locate and check the box at the bottom of the window - "Generate chapter menu..."

That’s just it – it is automatically checked each and everytime you open Edit Chapters.

You had to go to the trouble to un-check it everytime, just to make it wrong...
