I have a client that is having me reinstall the XP O/S from scratch on his old computer which I have applied all of the Microsoft service packages to.

The version 5 of Roxio is what came with this computer when it was originally purchased.

I do have the original version 5 CD.

My question is is this OLD version of Roxio going to work reliabily on a version of XP that has been updated with all of the M/S patches and all these many years that the version 5 of Roxio was originally written and offer with this machine ?

Thanks.

Am I understanding this correctly, that if I have already gone to IE version 8, then I am out of luck, i.e. evening installing the updates listed with not allow the version 5 to work under XP ?

Thanks.

If I am understanding this post correctly, I am not sure that attempting it may be a wise move, am I wrong ?

My bad, I had forgotten about IE 8. It would not have caused any harm it just would not work.

My sincere apologies,
