hi everyone i had some problems since i bought my notebook. It is a Sony vaio VGN-FS215S it always had problems with optical drive (sony dw 56a) difficulty to read CD and DVD very difficulty to write. I'm traing to understand what is the problem before to throw all far away, I'm traing to do that from error message my roxio easy creator 9 gave me these message:
Failed to start the image writing operation Errore durante Masterizzazione dell'immagine
80004003 Errore durante Interruzione dell'operazione
Sense: 05 ASC: 27 ASCQ: 00 (Command 2A)

Thanks for your helpfull informations, I'm continuing to fight whit my drive it has not a sense but it is a challenge. I installed PX engine this is the resul after a failed burn.

Actually I tried looking for firmware, reinstalling...but then I changed my media to DVD-R from DVD + R and it worked! I also have a Sony Vaio!
