I have spent hours and hours with Creator 2009. It locks down or gets in a loop when I try to create a DVD and at other times. When it locks down, my computer freezes and I must restart. I printed out the clean install for Vista and followed the instructions exactly. The I disabled McAfee and reinstalled the software.
It still locks down my computer. I disable McAfee and try to run it and the same problem. I attempt to run it as Administrator and have the same problem. Can I get a refund?

I wonder if Roxio still has the free phone support for premium products when people have an installation issue? I thoiught they provided that for somehting like 15 days.
Regardless of what I say about computer maintenance, there is no need to defrag a solid state hard drive.

An explanation of what you are exactly doing, what program from the suite you are using, your system specs, etc would be very helpful. At the moment all you have posted is "it doesn't work"

I ran Roxio videowave, added some jpg and avi files. Took option Output-burn with MyDVD Express and the program goes into a loop that cannot be cancelled except through taskmanger. I have tried this using different avi files, jpg files only, and even with one avi file. It always responds in the same manner. Something appears to remain in memory. When I check processes in the task manager I can find nothing running connected with Roxio or Sonic. However when I perform a restart, the computer gets in a loop and I have to force a power down.
I have done this over and over and over and it never works. As I mentioned I did the clean install, reloaded the software with McAfee disabled. I also try to install the service pack but it tells me the software is up to date.

Try few things if you can.
1. Update video card drivers from mfg
2. Try using MyDVD instead of MyDVD Express.
3. Go to Tools --> Options and do a Graphic test.
4. Initially attempt saving it as a image file instead of directly burning to a DVD.

I did all those things. I am done. I am really sorry I bought this product. I do have a life. Since I have had it over 30 days it appears I just threw away my money on a product that is not ever going to work.
I am amazed that you would even introduce this product for 2010.

Nobody here has introduced 2010 since we are users just like you.
Unfortunately you explanation of what you are trying to do and what you are exactly doing is lacking any real information. Your spec listing on the other hand is too much information to wade through. One thing I did notice that you have something called "Roxio Creator Basic" installed which could very well be interfering with C2009.

You should know if I did a complete uninstall that was recommended which I stated that I did it would have removed the Basic. No one asked you to wade through the information. I was very specific concerning the problems. I don't know how else to say that. It just appears that the product has great issues and I should have visited the discussion groups before purchasing the software. I don't know if you are a user or a representative of Roxio. Regardless this will be my last post and do not need you to reply. If you are a user and love this product, good for you.

If you visit forums, for any software you are thinking of purchasing, prior to purchasing, then you probably won't ever purchase software again.
