I may have a Mac problem which I do not know how to fix.
I used to have no problem burning discs but lately things have been acting weird.
I make slide shows using pro show gold, a MS platform program using XP under bootcamp.
I used to be able to generate the slide show then burn it from the program to disc and it would burn it
at least 4x no problem. Then for some strange reason it went way down to .8x takes forever. Then when it
is finished it would not play in the dvd player.
So I just made a disk image, and ISO file then I would go to toast 8 and burn it on the Mac side.
It worked for a while now when it gets to the end of the burn when it is wrinting the lead in and out it fails.
Then sometimes time it says it burned correctly and I go to play the disk in a DVD player and it can't read it.
I downloaded a burner program Express burn for windows and tried to make a disk and it worked fine.
So where could the problem be.. I don't have a problem buying toast 10 but I don't think that is going to solve my problem. It could be in the Mac software somewhere or I may need to upgrade my drivers?
Anyone know where I can attack this problem?
Toast 8 problem too?

The first thing I'd try is a different brand of media. I suggest Verbatim discs. It also could be that your optical drive is failing or could benefit from a laser-cleaning disc.
I'm just a fellow Toast-user so please don't blame Roxio for any misguidance I may provide. And do let me know if your issue gets solved. Cheers from Eugene, Oregon!

I just found where I drop the ISO file into the drive utility, click on the file, click on burn,, and away we go.. dont need toast.
