I am trying to capture a 90 minute vhs graduation tape. I have failed at least 4 times. I get anywhere from 3 to 22 minutes into the tape and my computer freezes. The vhs tape keeps running. I am using creator2009 special edition with SP4 on an Intel Pentium running Windows XP. I have 250G free space on my drive. My computer does not freeze when capturing LPs to disk.

What speed is the CPU, what do you have for a graphics card/chip. Have you defragged your hard drive recently, What format are you capturing? Do you have any blank spaces in the tape?
Please explain freezes. Do it just stop capturing or does it freeze to the point that you have to do a hard shutdown and reboot?
