Please forgive if this is a dumb question (technologically impaired newby). Can I use Mac2TiVo to send a program FROM my TiVo TO my Mac? If so, how is it done? Simple explanation appreciated. Thank you.

Since you're asking about Mac2TiVo, I'll presume you have Toast 10 which includes Mac2TiVo. Toast 10 also includes an application called TiVo Transfer which handles the transferring of recordings from your TiVo over to your Macintosh

I have Popcorn because TiVo Aus support told me Popcorn was sufficient as does their Mac Userguide - Popcorn has Mac2Tivo, but I haven't seen "Tivo Transfer" in my Popcorn 4 download. Does this mean that Popcorn alone is insufficient to transfer recordings from Tivo to a Mac?

I also installed Popcorn 4 because it claims to be able to transfer Tivo to Mac. The Getting Started Guide says, "TivoToGo for Mac - Transfer recorded tv shows to you Mac from a Tivo Series 2, 3, Tivo HD or other compatible DVR connected to your home network". When I first installed it yesterday I did have my list of Tivo programs pop up on a screen (Tivo Transfer?) and was able to transfer one show. Then it disappeared and I can't get it back.
I'm hoping Bob comes through for us.

The following is from Bob. I can't claim this genius, but I wanted you to see it. It took some head scratching, then I eventually found what he was describing, then double clicked on the 'TivoTransfer.tar.gz'. This worked for me. I then dragged the icon onto my desktop.
If it's still not showing, go to the folder where the Toast application is located and right click on the Toast application itself. Choose "Show Package Contents" from the contextual menu that appears. Then go into the "Resources" folder that shows in the "Contents" folder. Scroll down and you should see something like "TiVoTransfer.tar.gz" in there. Do not change anything in the package contents for now -- just see if that file is in there. Of course, if running the setup assistant took care of the issue, there's no reason to go into there.

Thank you Karen and Bob! I have successfully found Tivo Transfer!
